Okay, for someone who has been called the 'Queen of Decluttering' this is INCREDIBLY embarassing and humbling, but I need to share it with you so that I can do something about it.

We aren't doing the garage right now in the Spring Fling, but I am okay in the other areas, so I need to get going. Now, a lot of this should be remedied w/my garage sale, but a lot of it is staying, too.

When we moved (3 yrs ago) a lot of stuff just went in the garage and never came out. Hence, the state it is in right now. :smhelp:

So, here are 4 different shots of my garage. It will take awhile, but I can do it...I know I can!

:hugz: Amy, thank you so much for sharing those pictures. I know that you will get it all cleaned out in time. Our garage looks like that at least 4 times a year and DH get out there, flings like crazy and reorganizes stuff.

You can do this Amy.....remember it's like eating an elephant. Start at the front and take little, bitty bites. ;)

Oh Amy, that looks so much like my garage did a few weeks ago!! (Did you notice that I only posted one "before" pic of it?) ;) You are certainly not the only one facing that particular problem~ and if you're like me, now you'll be motivated to do something about it.
Good luck!

Okay, I was out there for quite some time today. My mther watched Patrick & I gave Julia some jobs to do to keep her occupied.

I have 4 trash cans that are full & waiting for the garbage man on Tuesday! I took over two large crates of books & sold them at the used book store. All that and I'm STILL not ready to show it to you. I seriously cannot believe all the junk! If the weather cooperates, garage sale in 2 weeks! (Next weekend is my neices Christening.) I'm hoping to do some more tomorrow.

You've done a lot already!

Mine is worse I think. I declutter the indoors regularly but that garage is daunting. Ds has his truck tools and dh has his tools, so there are 2 different workbenches full, dd stores her camping gear there, and I have a chest freezer.

Way too much going on in ours plus stuff gets put out there to go out to the trash, and if we are over the limit, dry household odds and ends get put aside in favour of getting rid of regular trash first. So it sits and becomes part of the landscape till next trash day when dh or I don't "see" it.

It's time for a serious dump run at our house, but if it makes you feel better, that won't happen till I get back from fil's in another 2 weeks come Monday, sooooo

you'll be finished before me!!!:D

Okay, after garage sale #1 and lots of flinging, here's how it looks. Whether or not we are moving, we're still having sale #2 this weekend, so the final shots are coming next week.
