Today I made some last minute goody bags for a friends, sons' birthday-they were so cute and so cheap-thought you guys might be interested. Started with little wooden forms of assorted animals-.20 each at AC Moore, painted them, added his name and third birthday (painted) then put a little magnet on the back so after the bag is torn open the wooden animal becomes a refridgerater magnet. Picked up plain white lunch bags -20 for $1, filled with dollar store goodies-balloons, noisemakers, candies, crayons etc. Filled the bags , added some blue and white curling ribbon to the inside so the kids have to dig through to find their stuff, then folded over the top of the bags, put 2 holes through it, put ribbon through the holes and hot glued the animals to the ribbons. I made 15 bags in less than 2 hours ( a lot of that time was spent watching paint dry) for a total cost of $8. Thought the boys' mom was going to cry when she picked them up, she has a newborn and had no time or $ to do this stuff herself.
