Okay, Super Foodtown is tripling coupons here in NJ. I've got my list, got my coupons, and I'm going in. Wish me luck! I'll post how I did when I get back! (I'm going to try to stick to only getting stuff that will be under $1.00 with the triples, but if it's something I think we REALLY need, then I'll get it.)

Well, it did not go as well as planned. I mean, I did okay, but I'm a little pi$$ed off because my mental math wasn't what it should have been and I wound up paying much for 20 cans of veggies than I would have had I done the math correctly. I would have left them on the shelf. Anyway, here's what I got: (N=normal price WC=with coupons: all prices are per item)
4 boxes Dole Fruit & Juice bars (N$3.99 WC$1.74 - over my nothing for more than $1 rule, but dh loves these and they'll be eaten and appreciated)
2 Pepperidge Farm pot pies (N$3.89 WC$2.34 - again, over my rule, but dh works late some nights a week and this is still cheaper than him going to Wendy's for dinner 2 nights a week)
2 qts. Edy's Raspberry Sorbet (N$3.79 WC $0.25)
2 qts. Dreamery Ice Cream (N$3.79 WC $0.25)
2 qts. Godiva Ice Cream (N$3.79 WC $0.25)
4 9 oz bags Sorrento Shapesters (N$4.19 WC$1.94 each - yes, over, HOWEVER, I bought these as a snack for Julia when I got some free a few weeks ago. She didn't like them. I wasn't going to toss them, even though they were free. I was going to make baked macaroni and cheese that night, but was out of shredded cheese, (Shredded cheese is expensive anyway) so I shredded up these little cheddar shapes and used those. She loved the mac and cheese and didn't notice a difference in the cheese, so I bought more because I can get three baked mac & cheese meals out of a 9 oz bag and I can only get 1 meal out of a shredded cheddar, more expensive bag. Make sense?)
2 Scott Towels mega rolls (N$1.99 WC Free)
2 Viva Towels (N$1.39 WC $0.34)
4 2 packs Dove soap (N$2.49 WC $1.36 - over, but we need soap and at $1.36 per 2 pack, it's $0.68 a bar...not great, but needed)
4 2 packs Tone soap (N$2.49 WC $1.44 - see Dove soap comments)
2 4 packs Lever 2000 soap (N$2.29 WCNot sure...can't figure out how that coupon scanned)
2 boxes Hefty Cinch Sak Ultra trash bags (N$3.99 WC$1.74 - again, more than $1, but with the move, we'll need heavy duty trash bags!)
4 boxes Kellogg's Disney Fruit Snacks (N2.89 WC$1.69 - yeah, yeah...not a necessity, but Julia loves them and I LOVE HER!)
5 boxes Gerber Graduates Arrowroot Cookies (N$1.49 WCFree!)
2 bottles Suave shampoo (N$1.19 WCFree!)
2 bottles Suave conditioner (N$1.19 WCFree!)
1 Suave cocoa butter lotion (N$1.99 WC$0.49)
3 Gerber Graduates microwave meals (N$1.29 WCFree!)
2 Dove deodorants (N$2.49 WC$0.24)
3 L'Oreal Kids shampoo (N$3.29 WC$1.04)
1 Johnson's baby bar soap (N$1.99 WC$0.79)
2 Kleenex Cottonelle Fresh Folded Wipes (N$2.49 WC$0.24 - they didn't have the Pull-Ups toddler wipes, but Ithought these would substitute nicely)
20 cans DelMonte vegetables (N$0.89 WC$0.71 - they should have been $0.65 a can but the machine didn't triple the .40/5 coupon to 1.20 as it should have...it only tripled to .89 the cost of one can...I was busy bagging and missed it until I got home...I would have returned all of the cans if I had seen, but I didn't...poop.)
Anyway, the original total was $169.15 and after coupons it was $78.38. Savings of $90.77. I would have liked to have done better, but I got swayed by all the stuff that I saw that we needed anyway. This shop is going to make staying under $150 for May VERY difficult, but I'm still gonna try!

Hey those are great deals. Don't kick yourself for not being perfect. It's that 80 20 rule again. 80% of the effort comes from the first 20% effort and vice versa.
SOOOOO that means that if you'd have gotten it perfect you'd have wasted precious time and effort.
REALLY GREAT SAVINGS and way better than nothing to have scored 90$ of savings!!!!!
Way to go, and don't even try to hit perfect. It'll trip you up from patting yourself on the back for scoring like you did.
And you need to pat yourself on the back for a serious while!
Well done!!!!

Good Job!! I have done the same thing with the canned food before. I have started to avoid using the coupons that are for more than one item at stores that double because it seems like everytime I only get the amount for one item instead of the full amount doubled.
