Wow! I got a phone call from the janitor from Patrick's school---he's a good friend we got to know over the years. He offered me to come and *shop* in the lost and found things that NO ONE ever reclaimed for last year. The clothes and lunch boxes mostly all unidentified, was placed 4 times this year for parents to reclaimed but it mostly all stayed there.

This is the 3rd time the school offers us to come and see for things...last time it was the school director. They always tell us that they think of us, since we have been doing so much volunteering the last 10 years in the school AND they know we have 4 boys AND that life is expensive....:)

I'm really happy and I feel very lucky! :D

There's just one thing...I can't believe all the things that never get reclaimed....don't the parents notice something is missing?...You should all the brand name clothes, almost new...Gap, Point Zero, Sears brand, Ungava...

Well, that's what I'm all excited about today! :)

That's great Lucie! I think parents ask their kids to find where the things are & they are too embarassed to so many things go unclaimed. Your gain... enjoy saving some $$.:)

That is wonderful to hear Lucie. When my g/f brought me two bags of clothes I let out a huge sigh of relief. Children grow like weeds. I also think it is a great way not to waste the world's resources.

Good for you, Lucie. :D
I agree, I can't believe the things kids leave behind. I'm a church janitor and I come across expensive name brand clothing left behind at the youth building. You would think a parent would notice an Abercrombie shirt or Gap sweater was missing, but I guess that's just me:confused:

At the elementary school I work at, we have 3 huge boxes of unclaimed items every year. We send home notes over and over. At every school function, we remind the parents to look in the lost and found. We have even layed it out all along the hallways so that the parents could just walk through and pick out what belonged to their child. Some gets claimed and the 2 - 3 boxes never do. The principal ends up donating it to the local ministrial alliance. I am like you Lucie, I can't believe the parents wouldn't notice it missing!!

I hope you get some great items. Happy FREE shopping!!:D :D

That is wonderful Lucie....

It is amazing that people forget their clothes. Once in college while living in the dorms some girl left a basket full of clothes down in the laundry room for almost a week before she realized they were gone :bang:
