i actually paid $2 for shipping, but i got a free NIKON 35 mm camera!! i don't know if you all have heard of "freecycle?" well, i listed that i was looking for a good 35 mm camera that i could throw in my purse and pull out when needed! it wasn't long, someone sent me one for free!!!!:D :D  i offered to pay shipping!

anyway, freecycle is in all parts of the country!! look up your area at www.freecycle.org (http://www.freecycle.org/). REMEMBER, everything on the site must be FREE!!!;)

I've looked at it before, but there was never one real close to me. Although I signed up on the one in my old home town where my mom and stepdad live. Afterall, besides the things stored at my mil and fil I also have a lot of junk at my mom's and grandmothers. One day I plan on seeing what I have and listing some of it.

Enjoy the camera. :smball:

I wish that there were a Freecycle group in my area. The nearest one is three hours away in Little Rock.

I love freecycle. I have gotten some great things and gotten rid of lots of great things. I had alot of things from the kids early years.

For those that don't have one in your area...start one. :) I started one in my city a few months ago. :)

How do you go about starting a Freecycle in your area?

:thumb: Great deal, Misty!

I belong to the local Freecycle, but keep "just missing" on the items I'd like to have-- it seems I'm always the second or third to respond. :( I'll keep trying, though!

Go to freecycle.org and look to be certain there isn't one in your city. There are links for information on starting one on the site too. Basically, start a yahoogroup and then email the owner of freecycle and he will list your group on his site.
