Any ideas on how to get it off? I've tried scrubbing it a couple of times with vinegar and water, then tried baking soda...none are really working. I will try the baking soda again since Sara found something for me that said to try it a second time. In the meantime--any ideas of what to do? My dd spilled some on there, and then when I tried to clean it up, it got smeared onto a big area. :(
thanks....

I know you like to go the natural route, but if that doesnt work try either softscrub with bleach, or take a rag or paper towels wet with laundry detergent and bleach and leave it to sit for a while on it, I've found it seems to draw the stain out. Do make sure that you check for colorfastness first.
PS-Your signature line "When life gives you scraps..." I found that on a premade plastic "stained glass" at walmart, had my Dss paint that for my mil for Christmas, she loved it.

Well, I found one good use for that Oxyclean that I just had to have! I used it to get coffee and koolaid stains off of our kitchen counter. I just made a paste with it and rubbed it around on it and then let it sit for awhile. Then I wiped it off. Had to do it twice with the koolaid but it is all gone now :D

Did you try the vinegar and baking soda together? Squirt some vinegar on then sprinkle with baking soda. The baking soda should fizz when it makes contact with the vinegar - if it doesn't, it's old and not effective.
If that doesn't work, try some Clorox Clean-Up gel.

teeheee! not to make light of your catastrophe..but this is a hilarious coink-e-dink.... my youngest DS found the green food coloring this week too! he now has the CUTEST green toenails that will not un-dye even after numerous bubble baths!! Luckily it all came up of the floor with no problems...I hope you are able to get yours up :(

Marcie-what's even funnier is that it was my younger dd that did this to my countertop, and her birthday is 8 days after your youngest's birthday LOL--now that IS a coinky-dink :)
I'm still trying to get it off--thanks for all the tips, guys.

LOL, Frugaldiva that's funny :)
I finally got it off with more vinegar & soda scrubbing. If it hadn't come off by today, I was going to buy a stronger cleaner as suggested above. Thanks everyone :)
