Jelly Bird Nests
4 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
Red and green food coloring
Jelly beans
Clean hands
Mixing bowls
Measuring cups and spoons
Flour sifter
Knead all ingredients except food coloring until smooth. Divide mixture
into two bowls. Color one pink and one green. Let sit a few minutes.
With moistened hands shape into 3/4 inch balls. Press a jelly bean into
each ball. Keep refrigerated. Makes 24 nests.


Krispie Cookies
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups rice krispies cereal
Clean hands
Mixing bowl and spoons
Measuring cups
Mix all ingredients together and shape into balls. Moisten hands first
to eliminate sticking.


Tubby Toast
Toast
Raisins (or icing)
Circle shaped cookie cutter
Using the cookie cutter, shape the toast into a circle. Decorate a face
on the toast using either raisins or the icing.


Paintbrush Cookies

Your favorite sugar cookie recipe, rolled, cut, and unbaked

Or packaged unbaked refrigerator cookie dough

As many cups and small paintbrushes as desired colors

"Paint"
2 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon water
Food coloring
Blend egg yolk and water together. Divide into cups and add food
coloring. Using small, clean paintbrushes, paint the unbaked cookies.
Add more water if "paint" becomes too dry. Bake in a 400 degree oven for
6-8 minutes, or as directed in recipe.

No-Bake Version:
Use packaged animal crackers or vanilla wafers. Make paint with
evaporated milk, a little sugar and food coloring. Allow cookies to dry
before eating.
