:grouphug: You all are great!!!!:)
The boys did really well yesterday and even made lunch for myself and my supervisor (who was very impressed with their cooking and their manners). They did however come and visit me or call a bit too often, so we had a talk about that.;)
There is so much to learn on the job, especially all the computer stuff (so many different commands, so little time), but I am getting it slowly. Today I have my branch visit so I had to pack up about 1/9th of my library (books, videos, books on tape, dvds) and load my van to the gills. I'll trade those things out for new ones at the main branch and then go back to my library and restock the shelves. My supervisor and I were looking over the shelves yesterday and there is a lot of work to be done. Things have not been shelved properly and that makes it hard to find the items that we and others are looking for. I have a feeling that I will be spending most of the afternoon down there trying to get things straightened out.:( Luckily for me though, the branch visits are only every other month and the rest of the time I will only be putting in about 20 hours a week total including prep time. I've already told the boys that days before branch visits are going to be ones where I do not take them into youth group because it's just too busy and there is no room in the van after loading all those books up.;)
I'm exhausted today (9 hours of work yesterday including boxing up and hauling about 15 heavy boxes of books) and got up early so that I could come and visit with all of yu for a few moments before getting ready for the day and heading out to the main branch. I miss you all so much already! Hopefully I'll be able to spend some more time here with you tomorrow! :hugz:
Thanks for all you encouragement and faith in me!!!!:smball:

Glad it went pretty well Debbie. A new job is a very stressful change. Hang in there, it will get better :thumb:

I think working in a library would be awesome - I am such a book hound!! I always just walk up and down the rows and read all the titles in the sections that interest me - you are going to "discover" so many books!! I bet you'll love it! :)

Sorry it was a stressful day, but Lisa is right that is just the way of new jobs. It will get better. :hugz:
Sounds like you like it though and that is a GOOD thing! :)

I'm back after my second day of work and just dead tired. Luckily I have 3 wonderful and strong teenaged sons who know how to alphabetize and use the Dewey Decimal system so they helped me get all the new stuff shelved so I won't have to deal with it on Monday. I am counting their hours and keeping track of them. I did stop by the grocery store and get them 2 pizzas as a thank you for all the hard work and adjustments that they have had to make with me working again. So far they are getting their schoolwork done and most of their chores.;) They thought it was really cool that they got to be the first ones to see all the new videos and DVDs that came in and can borrow them before everyone else.:D

Glad you all had a good day Debbie.
See, it pays to have your mom as the librarian, great perks! :D
