I've been perusing ebay for a tortilla press for ages, and once you add on shipping, it's insanely expensive to get one. I've looked at all the specialty stores around here, no luck. They don't even carry them.

Today, I was shopping at a store I don't normally shop at, but they have a reward program where you collect points for free gas that DH could really use. Anyway, I was going down the international foods aisle, oogling the British goodies, and happened to look around at the Mexican stuff and there were a whole shelf of them. I told myself not to get excited, as they were most likely pretty pricey, but the tag on the shelf said 6.79, less than half shipping on anything from ebay, regardless of auction price. Needless to say, one came home with me and I'm thrilled to be mixing up a batch or tortillas today. Wheeeeeeeee!!

The whole reason I've been wanting one is that I can't roll them out circularly. I've tried both my rolling pins, flattening them out by pittypattying them, using tumblers, bottles, everything I can think of. They all ended up triangular or rectangular, and DH would laugh hysterically at me. He comes from the "Land of HM Tortillas", New Mexico and California, so I caved and got a press so mine would be round.
