This is something my husband and I are trying to keep in mind now that we have a car loan. Until the car is paid off every unessasary purchace we make. Say dinner out or a new cd actually costs more then the price tag indicated. Why? Because the money could have gone towards our car and reduced some of the principle we are paying interest on.

Oh Melina you are SO RIGHT!!!! Terrific thinking and a very good insight.
Shell will love this too! We have some fun here on debt reduction, and Shell has these impossible alter egos that she lets out to play.
Don't be surprised if "grandma" or "guido" congratulates you on that kind of thinking.
Way to go girl and welcome to the village.:D

now thats a concept that I never thought of. With those thoughts in mind, I'm certain you'll plow through that debt in no time. Esp with your dh on board. I usually just drag mine BEHIND the wagon....

I agree, Dh and I are trying to do that too, it was hard at first but now we kind of just look at each other and think of mortgage free living!

Great outlook! I will try to think of this myself, when we are about to make an unnecessary purchase. :)
