DH and I have been talking about moving back home to MA for 2 or 3 months now, and this week we decided that we are going to move home at the end of the month. I passed in a 3 week notice at work, letting them know that Oct 22nd would be my last day. Here's my question - how do you handle the work when you know that you're leaving? I talk to customers all day, and I'm wondering if I should say something to them? Also, a lot of the orders I deal with have 2 or 3 week turn times, so a lot of order that I start I am not going to finish - would you just keep a pending file? I'm really just not sure how to tie up my loose ends - my last job I left (when I moved out here) I just kind of kept working as normal up until the last minute and I don't know if maybe that's the right thing to do? Any advice?

do you know who will be taking over your work load when you leave? if you do i would tell the customers thta you are leaving at the end of the month but so and so will be taking over for me and they will take good care of the customer. as far as any jobs that won't be done when you leave, give whoever is taking over any notes you have on the job or whatever documentation you have on it so they can complete it.
