View Full Version : Our truck has been stolen
Missy 10-06-2004, 10:57 AM :censor: some jerk stole our truck last night from work. it's at work because the clutch is going bad quickly. Work is four blocks from the repair place, so we have an appointment to get it in on Monday. That's why it's there...or was. so this morning before 6 some one up and stole it. there is glass on the ground suggesting someone broke the wiindow to gain access. and they are reviewing the survailance tapes right now. I have faxed Erick the title witht he vin and all the info i can about it. It's his baby, i an so *issed off. he bought it for me but i can't drive it, too big for me. Oh man am i mad
Darlene 10-06-2004, 11:07 AM Well that does stink! Pox on the losers who stole it. Hope those surveillance tapes help recover your truck and throw the dirtballs in jail.
kimmee 10-06-2004, 11:11 AM Unbelievable !!! I am so sorry. We had a toyota 4 runner in phx - I went out to go to work one morning and it was gone - it was actually parked around the corner with two others and all three were running with jammed ignitions, evidentally they had been scared away cuz they found one later that day rolled in a field - maybe Erick will find his close by - his will definately stand out and be noticed!! The crime is getting really bad in Denevr and the Springs!! I 'm really sorry for you guys.
paelthom 10-06-2004, 11:17 AM Hugs to you and  to the idiot who stole it.
KKCondrey 10-06-2004, 11:17 AM I am so sorry Missy :hugz: Thats awful. I hope they are able to get something off the cameras.
Missy 10-06-2004, 11:20 AM I am sick of Colorado's crime. I am so ready to move home. This is rediculous, between the neighbor, the truck and petty vandalism (people writing on our fence) and mail ___?___ (people getting into our mail box, dumping our mail on the ground, sometimes i suspect they take stuff) I have had it with this place. Police here are stretched as far as they can go. People say they are lazy and can't do it, but the truth is there aren't enough (tax cutbacks  ), so things have to get pushed aside until the man power can get there. It is just too much and I have about had it.
I am so mad :furious:

Mom23boys 10-06-2004, 11:59 AM That does stink!!
I would be furious! I hope they find the truck.....but not wrecked.
:hug2:
Missy 10-06-2004, 12:07 PM The security tape showed nothing, the sherrifs have it anyhow. we'll see. We only have liability on it so we are pretty much screwed. We were concidering selling it in the future too. Now we are going to have to shell out money to have it recovered. I am majorly steamed. :fpunch:
kimmee 10-06-2004, 12:16 PM I am sure they will locate it - I just hope its in good shape- I faxed Bruce a picture of it since he's a trucker and on the highways all day - just on the off chance that if he might see it any where here in denver or up north. You know the type of area - where the theives kind of are gathered! Good luck Missy - I am so bummed for you.
dolphin 10-06-2004, 12:39 PM Oh man! I'm so sorry and I hope the police find it quickly and unharmed.
Missy 10-06-2004, 01:25 PM Thanks everyone. I know it's old (82 Toyota 4 wd) and needs work but we like it and it is our work horse. Dh is going to be miffed for a few days at least. :(
Ellise 10-06-2004, 01:34 PM :hugz: Missy. Hope they can find it and the person(s) responsible.

kaykwilts 10-06-2004, 04:14 PM If the clutch is messed up maybe the thief will take it somewhere to be repaired or if he realized that it needs work he will ditch it somewhere and move on to another vehicle to steal.
Missy 10-06-2004, 04:56 PM We were getting the clutch fixed because we were thinking of turning it and our saturn in, for a trade in towards a mini van. With the baby comming, we know very well that two car seats and a booster would never fit in the back of the saturn. if we don't recover it in good shape, we have no idea what we are going to do. with out it we can't afford the down payment or the higher monthly payments it's trade in value would offset.
frugalmel 10-06-2004, 05:19 PM Missy I am so sorry. HUGS.
How dare they Trixie-nap Trixie!!!! (Truck's nickname)

Ugh, that stinks!!! I hope the police find it in good condition. As for the mail, sounds like it is time for a PO box somewhere.
