As a substitute teacher, most times my income depends on another being sick or incapacitated in one way or another. The teacher tht I worked with for many years has to go back for a second surgery because the surgeon left a small piece of sterile gauze inside of her. She will most probably be out for nearly a month. Although I am feeling bad that a friend has to have surgery, I am very excited at the POSSIBILITY of a long term assignment. It would mean double pay after 20 straight days, but the idea of doing my own planning and being in what would amount to my own classroom for a month is more than I can stand. Send some good vibes so that the principal sees me as able enough!

Plus, this is another week of working 5 days! I could really get used to this!

:hugz: Robin, You'll do fine! I had a long term sub position one time that lasted for 4 months! After the first couple weeks it becomes second nature. :hugz:
