Anyone out there that was like me and didn't buy maternity clothes while pregnant? My last pregnancy I just wore regular clothes in larger sizes.
I am leaning towards this again for this pregnancy.

I only had a few maturnity clothes, just a couple dressy things that I could go out in but mostly it was just some sweats, tee-shirts and shorts in large sizes....
My last pregancy was with triplets and I was HUGE and spent the last 4 weeks in the hospital so I was wearing those beautiful jonhies.....

Maturnity clotes are so expensive and you can only waer them for a short time. I think I was too cheap to buy them...

I bought a couple pairs of maternity pants and maternity shirts..but a lot of the time I wore regular clothes that could stretch well.

Since I was already staying at home I didn't see the need to buy a lot of new clothes just while I was pregnant. I did buy a few things (only one item - a dress - was maternity) in larger sizes and I wore a lot of dh's old t-shirts.

I did buy a couple dresses and a pair of "short alls", since I was in my last months during the heat of summer. But I did also wear alot of stretch pants. Right now my maternity clothes are out on loan, so I don't know what I'm going to do this time around, since I haven't found anything cute (everything I see is frumpy and dumpy looking!). Hopefully, I'll be able to fit into my regular clothes until about 6 months again this time around. LOL!

BTW, how are you feeling? Have you gotten a due date yet? My second visit is Friday, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed we'll hear a heartbeat!

I hate maternity clothes. It's like a neon light flashing "Hey! Stare at me! Touch my belly even if I don't know you!" I do admit there are some times when I am glad I have just a few items, though. I have two pair of mater. jeans I got on the clearence rack for $8 each, and a couple pair of denim shorts that I got from a friend. This is my 3rd baby and I didn't do much else for the other two. I just wear dh shirts, which he hates, but the rule in my house is if I wash it, then I can wear it. I'd wear his pants too, but I'm a regular size 5 and he wears a 42. Not happening.

I didn't have to buy maternity clothes with either of my pregnancies. I'm not exactly petite so I lost weight with each of my pregnancies. I guess that's the plus to being a Plus sized woman. :)

I got away with wearing large sweat pants and "wind" pants with my first. With my second I was all belly. The regular large clothes pulled up in front creating an uncomfortable crotch thing, so I had to buy a few maternity clothes.

We have a Penny's Outlet store near here. It's a great place to buy maternity and work clothes. They have an amazing selection of "nursing" scrubs. Scrub pants are excellent for almost any line of work.
