as of Jan. 1st and that likely won't be the only increase we see! It still has not been decided if our electric company will be able to raise rates due to depleting their emergency fund because of the hurricanes this year. If we get slapped with that as well, I hate to think of our bills!
Anyone else expecting an increase soon or have you already been hit with one?

I wouldn't be surprised if our rates increase. We already pay the highest rates in GA. :( This month's bill was $175.

Ours went up 3% on Nov. 1 and we have another rate increase in Feb. 2005 but they haven't decided how much yet.

Don't even go there. Last week I received my electric bill and I almost had a stroke! We have two new charges on our electric bill. My electric, gas, sewer, and trash are all on one bill. My electric was only $22 and water $21, trash $10.75 the rest was for sewer and our new two charges. Why I'm I sitting here turning blue to keep the heat down:eek: and keeping all lights off, unplugging appliances when the city is going to sock me with bills I have no control over? There going to get us one way or another. Than I was told my water bill was to high:mad: . Excuse me but for three people in the house I think my water bill is pretty good. This is where it gets discouraging when you have no control over certain things. Well guess I'm going to have to cut somewhere else in my budget. Budget as low as I can get it. Renee
