Unfortunately, we have one leaky faucet that needs repair. I need to look into doing it myself or have Gabe do it when he has a chance. I don't even want to think about how much water is wasted from this faucet. :( I'd like to fix it and pop an aerator on it too.

i have three. we are renting and it takes an act of congress to get some repairs done around here. thankfully we don't pay for utilities, they are included in our rent, but i'm trying to keep everyone in the good habits of conserving water, heat, etc. could you put a bowl or something under your faucet to catch the dripping water so you could use it on the houseplants or add it to the humidifier? at least it wouldn't go to waste while you wait for it to get fixed.

Great tip pita! :thumb:

No we don't have any leaky faucets right now, but the kitchen faucet is driving me nuts! It has hardly any water pressure! :grrr: Try washing dishes with no pressure. We have tried just about everything we can think of and nothing works to get the pressure up.

In the bathroom upstairs we have lots of pressure so this makes no sense.

DH recently changed one faucet in our bathroom that was leaking. He learned how to do it by watching the plumber that came to fix a leak in the other bathroom:D

We saved $65

That's one thing that I CAN'T stand. It always sounds like pennies running down the drain to me. No, we don't have any leaking faucets right now.

A leaky faucet is like a boat with a hole in it. It costs money to have a leaky faucet. We don't have any because I refuse to pay anymore for water than what we already do.

Usually a leaky faucet only needs a little "o" ring to repair it. They are dirt cheap but pay for themselves over and over again.

dee, gravity must be working backwards for you so that you have pressure upstairs instead of downstairs. lol

That's a great idea pita...

We don't have any that I know of, thankfully. It drives me nuts to hear a leaky faucet. :)
