No long distance, no anything extra here. Hubby wishes we didn't have a phone at all.

Just a long distance plan because both my mom and one of our sons lives in BC. Otherwise we have nothing else.

Our internet is provided by our phone company though.

only long distance here no call waiting or caller ID, my mom has both caller ID and call waiting but if you call her house and some one is on the phone they don't click over and take the incoming call duh isn't that the whole purpose of having it ** any way I think its a waste of money in her case.

We have call waiting, caller I.D. and long distance. My cell phone doesn't have nationwide long distance but I can call both of my dd's as they are both in the extended home area for free. So I use my long distance to call ds but have a great package on my phone with all the above and .07/minute long distance. I also have a sam's club phone card that I use if I know it's going to be an extended phone call.
Dh gets lots of business calls at home and that's why we have caller i.d. and call waiting......if it's just someone I can call back not bus. related I do that rather than cut someone off.

Long distance which is standard on our phones and we also have a thing called '101' which is a free message service. We have an answering machine, but if you are using the phone when a call comes in the caller can leave a message and you can check later!
We used to have 'Call waiting' instead but it drove us mad when we were in the middle of a conversation!

I have caller id and call waiting which I get free with my phone co. Use Sam's long distance calling card. Use my daughters cell phone more often after 9pm on week-ends because your minutes are free. Renee

We have caller id and call waiting and whatever other features come with them. (It's a package deal and you get everything even if you only want one or two). We do not have long distance - we use our cell phones for that.

We have call answer and caller ID as well as a long distance plan. Since it is long distance to call 5 km down the road (where our church and a lot of our friends are) this is a necessity.

We are thinking of getting rid of the call answer and getting an answering machine but only if it will allow callers to leave a message when the line is busy.

We don't have a home phone anymore. We couldn't see spending money on a home phone, cell phone, ISP and cable, so we got basic cable with cable internet and kept our cell phones.

Instead of 4 different bills we have 2.

However before we moved this last time we had unlimited local, long distance, internet, caller ID, call forwarding, call waiting, 3 way calling and voice mail and our bill was the same every month. It was cheaper to do that then get local only plus have to pay extra for an internet service provider.

I used to just go with no home phone and just use cell phones. Now, we've turned off our cell phones (they were expensve, and we didn't use them much anyway) and we have our home phone through our internet. It runs right through our cable modem (not the same company as the ISP though). We get unlimited, anytime calls to anywhere in the US and Canada, voicemail, call waiting, call ID, 3-way... and all that stuff that we NEVER use! We only pay about $27/month after taxes. Woohoo! :D

I have caller ID & call waiting but I haven't had long distance in years because everyone I talk to who lives far away has the internet.

Like Amanda. Cable phone with all the bells and whistles for half of what we were paying for a local plan before adding the long distance plan. No family instate, so unlimited anytime long distance is necessary.

We have caller ID and voice mail,we do have long distance, but never use it.. So we aren't charged any if we don't use it.. Our plan is 25.99 plus fees (about 6.00) and we get three "accessories", those include the caller ID and voice mail.. On a good month our bill is about 32.00, bad month could be about 50.00. Our long distance is 5cents a minute no matter what time we call.

Caller ID. We do not have cell phones. Our internet is cable. I could live without the phone altogether.
