I'm curious the cost savings.

I don't know what the savings are, but I do know that it's easy for the kids to plug the one that we don have! :toilet: I know I read somewhere that they really don't save that much as many people end up flushing twice to "take care of the job," and that it's better to just put a milk jug in the tank of a regular flush toilet.

WE had low flow toilets in the old house and always needed an extra jug of water to finish the flush - it worked out to three gallons per flush without the extra and now we are up to five gals - we have a brick in each toilet to take up the room.

I've heard the same thing, but we've never had trouble with ours. It does save if its working right. I'm not sure how much.

We have 2 and have never had a problem with stopping up. I'll add I don't save much on toilet paper, so I'm a good judge;) I've never figured the savings except that the box of the newest one said it uses 1.5 gallons of water vs. 5 that the old one used.

We have the low flow. We learned quickly not to use Charmin toilet paper - clogs it in a heartbeat! (I had read that in Good Housekeeping a few years ago as well).

Dh is in the plumbing industry and says the best low flow toilets are Toto brand. That's what we have and there are no problems with having to flush twice.

we've never had any problems with ours. I have no clue what they save though because we have a well so no water bill.
