We have a 10 yr old sectional couch. It is in awful shape. Shabby material, a tear and 1 cushion that it hurts to sit on. Over the weekend menards had polar fleece blankets for 2.45 a piece. I bought 3(one 4 each section).

I took a scissors and cut the fabric where the couch sagged so bad it was uncomfortable. I slid a cushion sized piece of hardwood in there and repositioned the foam over it. Safety pinned the cut. I then put a blanket over each of the 3 sections and tucked them in.

Its alot more comfortable and does look better.

If I told my  real time friends about this I would get "THE LOOK!"  so I'm telling my online frugal buddies! Cuz ya'll get it!

 

Don't you just hate "the look". LOL!! I totally get it and congratulations on sprucing up your sofa!!!

OH I know "the look" all to well - My pals were actually laughing at me behind my back for the longest time - I caught on one day - they would say "oh just do like Kimmee - if you don't like it just PAINT IT!! Hahaha - gales of laughter" hey if it works for us fab -
