Do you use humidifiers? If so what type? room size or whole house size? Which rooms?
How about air cleaners? Again what type and how many? Which rooms?
I could not leave without a humidifier. We have 5 currently on and I know that it does draw electricity but I must have the moisture. We have a huge one (that Mel fixed for me the other day) in the foyer. Room size ones in the breakfast nook, my bedroom, dd bedroom and the den. We have to fill them up at least once per day. Since we use wood heat our house stays incredibly dry without them. We also usually have a big pot of water on the wood stove.
Also we have to have air cleaners or I think we'd all croak. We have one in my room and one downstairs in the den. Since Mel has to have sinus surgery in a few days, he had to get another one for his office/den area. I check them often and keep those filters cleaned and replaced when needed. Again with the wood stove and the animals, I think they are worth the energy they draw.
