When I came down here I asked sis how much her electricity ran. "$120 or so a month ", was the answer.

Well, I put in flourescent lightbulbs. I put up a clothesline. I used alternate appliances like the microwave or "George Forman" grill thing in place of the oven. I kept the lights, TV and PC off as much as I could. My goal was $60. I wanted to show her that I could cut it in half.

My bill? The first month was $49.90! The second month .... $45.60!

Great Job. I know how you feel! Today I received my electric, water, trash, and sewer (all on one bill) and I saved $18.00. Only thing I really didn't do was put up a clothesline for my clothes. I'm going to do this and see if I can save more on my bill. You really inspired me to do as much as I can to save on my electric bill. You did a fantastic job!!:)

Our's dropped by $50 this past month because I unplugged the deep freezer and used the top freezer of the frig instead. DH thought it could be dropped more and he's right...if I line dry more...but with the weather (even using the line in the attic) it takes longer than I like to dry the clothes.

Congrats!! Impressive!!
