We have a couple. We need to get our m/bedroom insulated. Once that is done, throughout the year we need to finish drywalling and then painting or wallpapering each room. I'm hoping we can get that done in 2005.

We also need to put a new kitchen window in. We have the window but dh can't put it in until he gets clearance from the doctor.

What are your remodelling plans for 2005?

For 2005, we plan on redoing the living room and dining room. We plan on pulling out all the old carpet and redoing the floor. I would like to lay hardwood floors. I am sure this will be my summer project. It is the only time I have time to work on it since I get this time off from work.

We are planning on redoing our front porch. It's small now and we want to take it all the way across the front of the house.

I would also like to paint our bedroom and maybe change the decor.I just hate doing all that work of moving furniture lol

We are going to do the 2004 plans in 2005! We have several to do.......kitchen~new counters, reface cabinets (dh claims he can do this himself), pull out greenhouse window, new lighting. Wood flooring in the family room and entry way. Master bedroom~paint, walk-in-closet organizer.....again dh claims he can do this himself and tile flooring in bathroom. Then we have the entire backyard to deal with!!!!

We plan to redo the bathroom, take down the tiles on the walls and put up wainscotting half way and paint the top half of the walls blue, lay down a new tile floor and have the tub/shower area refaced.

Also paint bedrooms & living room once I decided on colors and who knows what else??

Oh geez.......... we knew when we bought this that we'd be doing a complete remodel and with limited supplies due to the hurricanes and everyone trying to make repairs, it's taking us way longer than we hoped. Still to do (and I'm sure I'm forgetting to list bunches of things).....

- Dh is building our kitchen cabinets. We'll be getting new countertops, sink, faucet. He will be running a water line to the refrigerator so the ice and water dispenser can be used. The doors need be trimmed/framed. We'll be adding a microhood. The walls will be repaired, textured, and painted. I'm not sure what will happen for a backsplash (we haven't agreed on anything yet). We need to add and move electrical outlets in the kitchen.

- All the floors will be replaced in the entire house.

- The dining room walls will be repaired, textured, and painted. We need to have a light switch added on the dining room wall (it's currently in the kitchen! Makes a ton of sense to have to walk through the dining room into the kitchen to turn on the dining room light!).

- New baseboards throughout the entire house.

- New window sills (marble) throughout the entire house.

- I have no clue what we're doing to the fireplace. I want to give it a good scrubbing and decide from there. I'd like a new (better) mantle). The wall that the fireplace is on has cedar planks on it. I'd like to remove those, but I have a feeling it's going to turn into a nightmare.

- We have replaced all the windows. We need to have the stucco repair finished on them and get hurricane shutters.

- All the blinds in the house will be replaced and all the window trim/framing will be redone.

- We need to add a light in the entryway at the front door.

- We need to replace two exterior lights and install new flood lights.

- All the bedroom walls need to be repaired, textured and painted. The bedroom ceilings also need to be redone (popcorn ceilings). We do them knock down to match the other ceiling areas in the house.

- We'll be replacing all the closet doors. We will have to take out part of a wall that's obstructing part of the master closet to make it more usable and functional. Dh will be building closet organizers for all the closets (huge closets, but lots of wasted space currently due to no organizer system).

- Replace all the ceiling fans in the house (kitchen/dining area and bedrooms).

- Replace the bathroom doors (we have the new ones, just have to install them).

- Completely remodel both bathrooms. One will be getting a garden/soaker tub and we'll add shower doors so we can use it for showers as well. Dh will be building bathroom cabinets. The mirrors, light fixtures, faucets, sinks/vanities, need to be replaced in both. The master shower will be busted out and redone and we'll get new shower doors. The walls and ceilings will be repaired, textured, and painted. Dh will have to move the toilet location in one bathroom and will redo all the plumbing associated with that.

- I believe dh is going to repipe the entire house.

- The utility/laundry room needs tile flooring. Dh is still building two more floor to ceiling storage units (they are almost finished). He already built and installed upper and lower cabinets, but the lowers need a countertop.

Carport over driveway
Re do deck in back and prpare for new room to be added.
