Alright, I know many of us are still working on our fridges and pantries, but this mini-assignment shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes.

I want you to pull out ALL of your plastic ware. Containers with lids, childrens cups, restaurant take home cups, all of it. Match up all lids with containers. If there is a lid without a container, toss the lid. Container without a lid? Toss the container! Do you actually have small children who drink from the plastic cups (or do you?) or are they just there because they've been there for so many years. If you haven't seen someone drink out of a particular cup in the past three months, toss it! Any piece of plasticware that isn't used, out it goes.

Plasticware can often become a hot spot in the kitchen because no one seems to want to throw it away. We think that we'll never be able to put away leftovers if we don't have a thousand plastic items to store them in. If you need a bajillion tupperware-like containers in your kitchen for leftovers, then my guess is, you are overcooking at your meals!

So, please take about 15 minutes and do this now. You'll be amazed at how much you are able to pare down your supply and still be comfortable with how much you have!

Good morning!

I actually did this on Sunday!!! I will throw away some of dds plastic cups though. I'll do it now while she is still sleeping, otherwise, well, she is kind of a garbage picker!!

I got my Pot and Pans cupboard done  I also purged the utensil drawers (yes, both of them, lol, and they are big drawers)

OK, OK, the fridge is done. All I can do with the pantry is stand and stare. It looks like the kids' toy pile after Christmas! I think I can handle these plastics though. I need to get rid tof the baby bottles anyway. It'll be nice to have that cupboard back. What did I have in there before I had little kids

I pared down my plasticware a few months ago and STILL, today, I found some items without lids that needed to be tossed!

Where do they go? Is there a lid eating monster in the house? I just don't get how they disappear into thin air! It's ridiculous!!!
