I was going through my fridge trying not to be so wasteful with our food. I thought it would be a great idea if we all shared our ideas about what we do with our left-overs.
I'll start. Today I took the left over chicken from the roasted chicken we had the other night. I froze the extra chicken so I can make chicken-pot pie later on. Then I boiled the carcass with carrots and parley etc. to make a great chicken broth.
Then I took the chicken bones :chicken: and dried them in the sun and built a beautiful lamp that I then sold on e-bay for $43.60. OK just kidding about the lamp but you get the idea.
Now, let's us hear how you use your food to make a new and delicious meal.

You are too funny Shell! BUT I bet the lamp would probably sell on ebay.:)
I was cleaning out my fridge today as well to make room for the groceries I purchased today.
I had some veggies leftover, so I tossed them into a freezer bag, stuck them in the freezer to add to soup later in the week.

I use the crumbs from potato chips in my kids PBJ sandwiches. Makes 'em crunchy!

Well, if you want to use up some old plants around the house you could always turn it into a lamp!
Would you like one of these Lucy? :toothy:

I took the leftover corn, olives, black beans and peas, and tossed them into a salad. Used cottage cheese instead of dressing and it was yummy!

When I make a pot roast, I always plan on several meals from it. We have it as roast the first meal with potatoes onions and carrots, then we chop left overs and use part of it to make beef pot pie and the other part to make chopped BBQ.
