I'm up for a promotion at work :) I was recently thinking of putting my resume together and looking for another job, but on Thursday, I had a meeting with my supervisor and he told me I will either be heading up a new department, or I will take over his job and he'll have the new position.
It doesn't matter to me which one I get, I know I would like his job, because I've filled in for him while he's on vacation and I like it. Although, the opportunity to prove myself in a new position sounds like a challenge I would love.
I've been there 8 years and I really enjoy what I do and the people I work with, so I'm very excited.
But, if you wouldn't mind crossing your fingers for me just incase--because this all has to go thru our main office in California, and I'm hoping the "process" doesn't take forever. He did say it should be in effect by mid-Feb.
