This article speaks VOLUMES!

It hit me a little too hard & a little too close to home.

I'm not the bio-mom of this 11 y/o son of my BF... but I've taken more responsibility for him than ANY previous woman in his life.

Sad as that is... this article explains to a T how I'm feeling.

It's definitely worth a read - despite being 6 pgs long.

I think it is okay for our children to know we are not perfect. That way they can accept their own imperfections much more easily. As long as they know they are LOVED LOVED LOVED -- I have to believe that is the main thing.

I do have regrets; I wish I -- was more patient; had more time; didn't have to work; kept an immaculate house; could drop my job and run home for a forgotten paper/project/jacket/instrument; was younger; hadn't starting leaving them at day-care when they were 6 weeks old; etc etc etc.

But my kids are fine. And I believe they will be great adults and parents.
