this is a joint project for DH and I. We have to get so much done before baby arrives, including fixing this cradle that I fell in love with.

So far dh has cut out a bottom for it, needs to fine tune the size so it fits correctly.

I have torn it apart and cleaned and reset all the joints. I gave it new hardware.

I plan on sanding it down and repainting it - white. if i feel up to it, i might do that today, since it is warm enough to be outside.

And I have sewn a liner for it. nice and padded (but not too much) on the bottom and with an attatched "bumper pad" to keep baby's legs and arms from comming thru. This cradle isn't meant for long term use so i have only made the one liner (man alive, the fabric was pricey too!). the liner is white with blue gingham trim.

Once baby is grown out of this i will be able to sell it. Or give it away to another mommy from church. :D

LOL, BIL tried to get our computer back online a litte while ago...no go. We are gonna have to get a new hard drive.

In the mean time, i have gotten the supports painted white, and i can probably get the cradle itself painted today if the kids cooperate. Gotta get it sanded first then i can get to work on it :D

Getting there. it is primed right now, and has to dry before i can get another coat on it. good thing the weather is cooperating. I might be able to get another coat on it tonight.
