This has not been my month. The first part of the month I had to replace my alternator to the tune of 140.00 and today I had to replace the fuel pump which ment the gas tank had to be dropped. That cost me 444.00. I need a break from spending money. If I didnt need the car I would have let it sit a couple of weeks. But my grandsons go back to school on Monday. So I need it. I'm just tired of shell out the money. Fern

I know what you mean. I had to have my fuel pump replaced (almost $700 for ours) and it turns out it might not have been the fuel pump after all :bang:

Joe said next time we need a car we are a leasing so we don't have to worry about paying for the repairs.....lol

You don't have to pay for repairs when you lease a car? I did not know that. I am just looking forward to the day our Toyota is paid off. Fourteen months to go. I hate car payments!

I didn't know you didn't have to pay for repairs for leasing too.
Sorry to hear about the car troubles.

Most lease terms are for 3 years as is the warrenty of most vehicles (3 years/36000 miles) so as long as you don't go over the mileage you are allowed for your lease all major manufacture repairs are taken care of at no expense to you.

Ouch! I hate car reapirs!!

I am just thankful my DH can fix most of our repairs. If can't do it, my dad is a auto mechanic, so I call him. This saves us money.

Oh girl I am right there with you.
I have paid -- $1800 for a new trans THE FIRST TIME!
$1100 the 2nd time
$1400 for when the engine blew.

I call my precious Jeep Wrangler SATAN now and its running just fine now that I've given it its proper recognition!
