Pacma 09-02-2001, 08:41 PM Is that the same as using vinegar? Will you share your recipe and tips? TIA Frugal_Woman 09-02-2001, 09:12 PM Paula, Here's the recipe that I use. 2 Cups White Vinegar 2 Cups Baking Soda 4 Cups Water Set mixing bowl in sink and slowly combine ingredents and then using a wisk, mix together. ~Baking soda and vinegar will fizz~ Then pour in a old fabric softener bottle. Use 1/4 cup or just put in your Downey bottle. Homemade dryer sheets...... I got 2 free packets of downey in that mail. I took an old crib sheet and cut it into squares about the size of my hand...maybe a little bit bigger. I put the squares into an old baby wipe container....you can use anything with a lid. Then I poured the 2 packets of fabric softener in and added about 1/2 cup of water. I used enough water to cover the squares. Then I just shook the container up. To use....Grab a square and squeeze out the excess and toss in the dryer. scootchy 09-18-2001, 02:18 PM But does it work??? Heather 03-23-2003, 11:49 AM :bump: Super ideas and yes they work!:smball: Mommy2Tyler 03-23-2003, 12:21 PM I use diluted liquid fabric softener in a Tupperware pickle container (they have the little strainer thingy you pull up to drain the juice)... just cut kitchen sponges in half and toss them in the container. Wring one out and throw it in the dryer with each load. Any container would work just as well though. Heather 03-23-2003, 12:22 PM Great idea Sherry, you know, I have one of those pickle containers and it is not is use!!! I'm going to do that!!:smball: Thanks!:smball: |
