View Full Version : Have you used any of Amy's TWG recipes? homesteadmamma 06-10-2005, 06:14 PM I did the pizza dough recipe a couple times. Otherwise no I haven't. setfirefliesfree 06-10-2005, 06:18 PM I made the apple breakfast puff (I think that's what it's called). It was pretty good, but it had a lot of butter in it, I think. kaykwilts 06-10-2005, 06:21 PM I use the pancake syrup all the time. Also use the Lipton soup clone and the Hersey syrup clone. MelinaG 06-10-2005, 06:23 PM I made the rice breakfast with a little milk and sugar. It is Sopia's (My DD) favorite! Melina Dixie 06-10-2005, 09:51 PM I made the Pizza dough and pancake syrup, they were pretty good. :) sunshine 06-10-2005, 11:22 PM The Cuban bread is wonderful--- we make it with stew quite a bit. . . . pancake syrup is good too. DaisyLady 06-11-2005, 05:01 PM I use her basic muffin recipe to create my own muffin recipes and I also use her cracker recipe. My kids love them both and actually beg me to beg crackers. Michelle 06-11-2005, 05:52 PM I need to pull out my book and try some of these recipes! Heather 06-11-2005, 06:12 PM Chocolate syrup, scones, muffin mix, pancake syrup, cream of soup mix, stuffing and we tried the Caramel popcorn this past Christmas. jlxian 06-13-2005, 12:52 PM I made the pancake syrup recipe and it was gross -- maybe I did something wrong? I also have tried the pizza dough and we don't like it either. But I'll keep trying things and hope I have better luck down the road. . YankeeMom 06-13-2005, 01:26 PM Two of our favorite recipes are from TCTWG. Corn-Broccoli Casserole (I usually add some ham) and Bean & Bacon Chowder. Oh and the chocolate syrup. Haven't made it in a while though. Telephus44 06-13-2005, 07:53 PM All I've tried so far is the quiche recipe. It was pretty good. I'd make it again if I ever found another extra pie crust hanging out in my freezer. BTW, I love your picture YankeeMom! YankeeMom 06-13-2005, 10:42 PM Originally posted by Telephus44 BTW, I love your picture YankeeMom! Thank you :smball: :D tightwadmommy 06-14-2005, 11:41 AM I've tried the homamade shake & bake and also the Tasty Taters. Both are wonderful!;) zakity 06-14-2005, 04:28 PM I have tried the quiche recipe. Instead of pie crust, I shred potatoes and use that as a crust. It is cheap and lowers the fat content somewhat. I tried the bulger/lentil burgers also. My husband liked them baked, but not the fried ones. I don't know what else I have tried. I need to dig them out and see what else sounds good. Lori Biever-Launder 06-14-2005, 08:44 PM The lentil casserole is good. I have used the quiche recipe too! Hollyhandi 06-16-2005, 08:23 AM No, but I want to try the chocolate syrup recipe today. We make our own maple syrup in the spring( not a good year this year ) i.m.cheap 06-19-2005, 12:02 AM I have not tried any of Amy's recipes. We buy our pancake syrup at ALDI's. It cost 89¢ for 24 ounces, and is really very good. I almost always buy chocolate syrup (Nestle's) with double coupons. I have been paying 69¢ for a 24 oz. bottle (after coupons). I have at least five in my stockpile. |
