View Full Version : How Do You Organize Coupons?

I have now realized that these flimsy envelopes are not going to cut it for organizing my coupons. I need to get some sort of "caddy" to put them in so I can easily look through them while shopping.

How do you all organize your coupons? Do you use something from a store? Something you made yourself?

I'd like to hear from all of you how you stay organized. :)

Thanks!

this is what I use, I have two of them and it fits all of my coupons but would need another one for trading and expireds to save for Albertsons..

I don't forget about the coupons though just because I'm always sending out sharing envies and filling people's wishlists so I look through each section quite a lot.

Oh by the way, the 'envelope' system was my first way of organizing :D

Until they started ripping and getting holes in them I though ewww no no no no :P

I ordered the coupon box from a refund magazine I received a few months ago and it works great for me. It has divider cards with the months on them and it can hold thousands of coupons in it. :)

I use a 4x6 pocket photograph album. It is probably a bit over six by nine inches total. It has two pockets on each side of the page. I use postit stickys to make lables. This works for me because it is easier for me to flip pages than to page through the traditional coupon holders.
My coupons are sorted by products.. like Laundry, dish, frozen. refrigerated, etc and the pages are placed in order of the aisles of the store that I use the most. They also can be alphabetica,l.

The album is a binder style, so I can add pages. I have a cler zipper pocket in the front to carry the "hot" coupons, coupons I might need but have not sorted... etc.

When I first started, I had a 3-ring binder that had baseball card holding pages in it. (My Dad used to collect them and had 100's of extra pages.) I organized them by products. It got to be too much of a hassle, though, and I never remembered to go through and find expireds. So, I traded the binder method in for a small coupon expandable thingy, much like what aylasmommy uses, except it's for coupons, not checks. I find it much easier. Yes, at times it gets overflowing, but it works for me. I have a separate coupon expandable thingy for the coupons that I use, not trade.

Bevv,

I like your way! I`ll try it. I`ve been using a plastic transparent expandable filer but I find your way very good because it`s more visuale for my eyes.:)

Thanks!:D

Bevv, So, I read the article and the comparison chart, and now I'm thinking I should go back to the old method! Darnit!

You are able to use expired coupons at Albertsons? Is that right?

Yep amy :)

Only the cashier I had when I used them, didn't notice that all my coupons were expired..and they went through just fine. But when he told me i couldn't use one due to the things I bought being b1g1f, he also said " and anyways it's expired"

I had just called that morning to verify that yes they did take expireds up to a year (manufacturere coupons only)
Talk about lack of communication with your workers lol!!!

I wish my Albertsons took expired coupons. I don't shop there often but it always seems that they have a great sale on items I have coupons for but they wait until my coupons expire!!!:(
As for organizing coupons I also use the binder method. I use a smaller binder though, it is a 4x6 photo album, it is soft and zips all the way around, I got it for 99¢!! I am able to get lots of coupons in it and it fits perfectly in my purse!!
