I am so excited I could literally just burst!!!
As everyone knows we have been foster parents for the past few years in the hopes of adopting a child. We have had the worst luck, but been able to help a lot of children. After our last heartache of raising a baby from 10 months to 2 1/2 years I went a head and allowed my family to contact friends who run an orphanage in Honduras. Today was our first court date in Honduras. Things went well. We are adopting a little girl we are naming Emily Joyce. She is 3 1/2 and is expected to arrive in the U.S. on October 2. She has a baby sister due in January, The birth mother really wanted to keep the children together so the baby is expected to arrive here in February. After nearly 4 years (and 11 foster children) it looks like it is finally coming together. Please send your prayers and happy thoughts (to any god, goddess or deity of your choice) that this all is real and actually happens.

Thanks ladies-things here are in high gear. The girls that have been here for the past year-and will stay until mom can have them back-probably January-are so excited about "our little sister Emily" coming, we went to TRU last night and picked out a special baby doll, set up the other toddler bed etc. Again, Thank you.--Kellie

I am just wondering how everything is going....I hope all is well with Emily. :D

Things are going slower than expected. Our second court date came and went and they weren't seen, so they have to be rescheduled. The girls' birth mother even showed up for court to make sure that it all goes through for both, she is due in January.
Things here are crazy, I think I have put my energy and anxiety about the whole situation into shopping for them and the 2 that are here now. I'll keep ya'll updated as things develop.

Sorry to hear things are moving so slowly, Kellie. But, as th saying goes, good things come to those who wait. I'm still thinking of you and all your little ones and will pray for everything to go smoothly from here on out.
