I made homemade hot pockets today, and I think they turned out pretty good. Just used bread dough, risen then rolled like pizza crust. Made pizza ones, and ham and cheese. Does anyone else do this? What other kinds do you do? I have to be a sports mom, so I hope these are a hit on those crazy busy days.

I make these for dinner, school lunches, etc. I've done cheesburger pockets (ketchup, mustard, ground beef cooked w/ diced onion, cheddar cheese), chicken alfredo (chicken, alfredo sauce, broccoli), and pizza like you do. The kids & dh love them :)

ham and cheese

meatballs with spaghetti sauce

chicken , cheese, broccoli

pizza- pepperoni, sauce, cheese, mushrooms

pot pies- meat, gravy, veggies (great way to use up leftovers)

breakfast ones- eggs, bacon, cheese; sausage and gravy; etc.

All of these sound really yummy. I'm going to give them all a try. Do you think leftover beef stew would go in if it was really thick? Do you just seal them really well so they don't leak.

I'm hoping that someone can explain how to make these? They sound ideal for my kids, and I would love to try them!

Do you just make up a batch of pizza dough, divide into portions, roll out thinly, drop in some filling and then fold it over and seal, then bake in the oven?

Any help would be appreciated :)

We used to make these at the cafe I worked at a long time ago. They were always yummy. I like it because my kids can participate and be creative on the ones that they make.
