How old is your daughter? My boys did some biting to other little kids when they were between 1 and 2 yrs. old about.

You did the right thing. Like you said she was may be tired and also she will slowly get the message that if she bites, there will be a boring consequence.

Wow! How did my post get before Alyassmommy? :surprise:

I know my daughter doesn't like getting her nails trimmed, so I put it off as long as I can since it turns into a screaming fit each time..but I had to do them all today..

I had her in my lap and I'm clipping her nails, and she's screaming like usual (breaks my heart!!)

Well since her screaming wasn't helping her..I guess she decided she should try biting my arm!! I already felt bad about having to clip her nails..they were just TOO long ..but when she tried to bite me, I guess that really hurt my feelings, and shocked me that my child is getting this defiant already :(

I told her (even though she can't understand me) that if she tried biting mommy one more time she would get a nap..well she did, and I put her for a nap..and well..at least now she is completely quiet..maybe she was just tired?

My posts have done that before too, once or twice, like that pantry challenge one lol..it looks silly with mine at the top :D

My son hated nail clipping when younger too. I used nail files. Much easier. Then graduated to nail scissors and now clippers and he actually brings them to me and wants to have nails trimmed. LOL

The first time we cut ds' nails, he was making little fists- making it really difficult to cut them and DH accidently clipped the top of ds' thumb- blood and all. After that, I would only cut his nails while he was sleeping, or I'd use a nail file. never had a problem after that. HTH!!
