I am new to this site and was wondering what the tightwad gazette is all about, and where can i find it I am really looking for ways to cut corners, any help would be greatly appricated.

The Tigtwad Gazette books are full of great money saving tips. They have helped me start on my frugal journey.

Before you buy any of the books, try your local library first. If you can't find any there, try ebay or other auction sites.

It's a "must have" in the frugal home library. Most of us don't do everything or even lots of things that she advocates but the mindset that she induces by reading her entries helps us all to stay more focused on frugality.

I really like the tips, the philosophy and the universal recipes in the book. She has articles on how to renovate a home cheaply, how to figure out the real costs of things/activities and whether they're worth doing. I haven't read it in almost two years, but I'll be looking at it after Christmas again. It's made a huge difference in our home.
