My car interest was at 8 percent. I went to bankrate.com and entered the loan terms to see if anywhere offered something cheaper in my area. Voila! Two local banks had a 5.65 percent interest rates and no charge to transer the title over.

So . . . I printed out the quotes and marched it downstairs to my credit union and asked for a lower rate. They matched the 5.65 percent! I will save $15.00 a month. Not a fortune, but every little bit helps.

You might want to try it with any loan you have.

WTG and don't forget those cc's either, they don't want to loose your business to a competitor. Can't hurt to ask for a lower interest rate or to waive the yearly fee too.

I need to do that Dee I keep trying to tell myself that I'll pay it off in a month or two yet, that isn't happening! LOL
