One of these years I'll get to build the LEGO train! I bought the tracks & the power supply thing. A few years ago it never came w/the LEGO train but the people who donated it to the thrift shop had a regular train set in there.

DH thought it was a great idea to put it under our Christmas Tree :tree: just having the trains sit on the track!

I found directions on how to build one online I think it was Matts website I have the exact link somewhere maybe in BACKFLIP when I find it I'll post it. I printed out the directions but they're in one of my folders/binders, etc.

The General

The "General" is modelled after the train that was stolen by James Andrews during the American Civil War. She was built as an eight wheel, wood-burning locomotive of the American type, with a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement. The real "General" now sits in a musuem in Kennesaw, Ga. The LEGO model is an 8-wide with moving rods
