Yes, except I think I'd have a hard time getting the nuts off. They tighten them so tight when you get new tires put on.

View Full Version : If you had to, could you change a flat tire on your vehicle homesteadmamma 01-07-2006, 06:30 PM Yes, except I think I'd have a hard time getting the nuts off. They tighten them so tight when you get new tires put on. Jeanna 01-07-2006, 06:35 PM I could if I had to. I know how but have always been blessed that a man has always been around and done it for me. webjoba 01-07-2006, 06:36 PM It's one of those things I keep thinking I should know how to do and often think I should ask my ex to show me. Somehow I never get round to it! crdurham 01-07-2006, 06:38 PM YES, and I have had to do it twice all by myself. The first time, did it and went home. The second time was during a thunderstorm and I called dh but by the time he had gotten there, I had changed the tire and was waiting in the car. :toothy: Mom23boys 01-07-2006, 06:53 PM Yes. Thankfully I was taught how to do that. We live in a rural community where you may or may not see anyone pass by for sometime. So you may be stranded unless you know how to do it yourself. AmyBoz 01-07-2006, 10:19 PM Yes, I can and have had to MANY times. Lori Biever-Launder 01-08-2006, 02:50 AM Yep, can and have. However, I have AAA, so I don't! LOL sunshine 01-08-2006, 07:29 AM Sure can-- and have several times. My dad would not let my sister and I drive a car until we could change the tires. After the lug nuts it's not so bad. bamamomto4 01-08-2006, 10:30 PM Could I?! Yes...have I?! No.... I remember only have had one flat in my lifetime and a lady that lived close to my aunt stopped and took me to her house, where I called dh at work. Now,if I had a flat tire,I would prob sit in the van with the doors locked crying as I called Steve....I'd be to afraid to get out! |
