View Full Version : Are there foods your kids turn their nose up at?
homesteadmamma 01-16-2006, 08:46 PM There are only a couple in our home.
All 3 will not eat cream corn and I can't say I blame them.
Dd does not like tomato soup.
Thats about all they don't like.
YankeeMom 01-16-2006, 09:00 PM Oldest dd doesn't like lasagna (strange child  )
Youngest dd doesn't like beans or anything w/ taco seasoning in it.
Oldest ds doesn't like mashed potatoes much.
Youngest ds doesn't like mashed potatoes (but will eat them boiled & diced  ).
AmyBoz 01-16-2006, 09:01 PM There really isn't much, but Julia will not eat chocolate. Talk about strange!

When I was little I didn't like chocolate either. I didn't eat it until I craved it while pregnant with baby #1. It was all downhill from there :toothy:
baxjul 01-16-2006, 09:36 PM Eleni doesn't like meat, in general.
poppyseed 03-01-2006, 01:32 AM None of mine will eat tuna in 'cooked' form (such as tuna casserole), and are not terribly fond of meatloaf, scrambled eggs or mashed potatoes....
Mind you, if they are eating at family or friends homes, they wolf down EVERYTHING in sight and come back for seconds
MOMMYDEAREST 03-01-2006, 08:07 AM my kids don't really care for chili.........and some hamburger helper:(
FrugalMomof3 03-01-2006, 08:58 AM Hummm...
My first DS is just picky, so he really doesn't like leftovers... :) But he will eat veggies and everything like that, unlike my others.
- DD doesnt like broccoli, carrots or string beans, I always tell her you dont like anything green
- DS doesn't like string beans, cauliflower, carrots or anything good for you
AmyMCGS 03-01-2006, 10:01 AM DD doesn't like eggs... although occasionally she'll taste mine, so I'm hoping she's outgrowing that phase.
She also doesn't care too much for mashed potatoes.
sunshine 03-01-2006, 02:52 PM Sauerkraut-- none of my kids will touch it.
dd hates hot dogs-- no matter how they are fixed, no matter what brand.
MACMOM6 03-01-2006, 08:27 PM Somedays my kids seem so darn picky...there are way too many foods to mention. My almost 3 year old is different though, he will eat just about anything, he is amazing.
shoefairy3 03-13-2006, 02:49 PM My oldest is the most picky...he really doesnt like real meat of any kind (hot dogs, chicken nugget and most chicken breast meals he will eat)
My middle boy will try just about everything once, but he eats most anything
Our DD will eat and try everything in site :D her favorite food is salad...go figure.
So i am expceting a trend, and the baby will love everything.....lol
i.m.cheap 03-13-2006, 03:11 PM My dd is very picky. She hates beans in any form, raisins, french fries:confused: , rice, and about a hundred other things.
Mommies, if you have a picky eater, I know sometimes it can be worrisome. My oldest was the pickiest. I was concerned she would just keel over from lack of nutrition. She is now 28 and eats everything she wouldn't touch as a child. She is also healthy and happy. So don't despair.
Michelle 03-13-2006, 05:24 PM Lauren won't cheese. Can't stand it when anyone eats it around her either.
Emerald_Mommy 03-13-2006, 05:41 PM Isabel doesn't really like meat. She will eat chicken, hot dogs, and some other things if we make her but she would never ask for meat. She doesn't like ketchup, beans, or tomatoes but she loves sour cream on anything (her condiment of choice!).
Ingrid loves everything we've given her except for olives and marshmallows. If she doesn't eat you KNOW she doesn't feel well. ;)
