Hi there..
At first I had signed up to follow along on this New Year, New House challenge, but then I am realizing that I really need to be doing some more drastic, deep down clean out and fix up stuff, so I will still be reading along for some good tips, but I need to follow my own plan to really get this house not just under control, but ready to sell. I will be working room by room, starting with my office, basically going through each and every item and making decisions about whether to keep, sell, or donate. That which is to keep needs to be organised and stored. Once I get the room cleared out, I will need to do something with the walls, either paint or paper. When all that is finished, I would like to just go through and carpet the entire house, but I'm not sure if that will be worth the cost.
I cannot continue to live in this particular house. I really need something smaller, or more logically layed out, perhaps even just renting an apartment for a while. I want to move to the town I work in to simplify my life a bit.

I hope it is still OK to pop in and post. I will definately be needing some encouragement along the way, especially since I can't seem to get my offline support system to stand behind me. I tend to scare people with my drastic life changes.

Oh definitely you can post how you are doing. We all learn from each other. No matter which way you do it, we are all cheering you on.

Can't wait to hear how it all goes.

Oooh! You sound like me. Everyone here is ready to move on from the living room. I'm going to be there awhile I'm afraid. It's the sewing unit. I've got to go through it bit by bit and get rid of stuff! I'm planning a move too. And dh has promised me a smaller more modular sewing unit. Sounds good to me.

I'll be watching your progress with great interest. Please keep us posted!
