DH's work is going to have Dave Ramsey here this weekend. It's limited to 20 employees plus spouses...and free of charge.

I'm new to Dave Ramsey, only heard of him a couple of times and never paid much attention.

Is this a "DO NO MISS IT" event?

Please tell me more...if you can...

Dh and I are in debt and would like to get out of it soon...

I'm just starting to read Dave Ramsey but if it's free I'd go. I think pammyboat just went and she could tell you more.

I would definitely go. Heck it's free!! I've been listening to Dave's show via the internet and I have his Total Money makeover book, and he makes a lot of sense. The book is easy to follow-it's basically common sense along with strong reminders that if you do not change your behavior, you will always be in debt and a slave to the credit card companies and all the other people you owe. Thus, you will never be free!!
He has a great 7 step plan too.
I learned a lot and I think you will too. I'd love to see him speak live. He's an entertaining guy.

Yes, Yes! Go! Absolutely! He's extremely entertaining. The event I went to was 5 hours long yet the time just flew by. He tells stories about his own life, he's been there and back twice. Just a regular person who's been there and got out, and his step-by-step method has worked for tons of people. Some people tell you 'you need to get out of debt' but don't really tell you how. His way sets everything out there with baby steps to follow. Please, consider going even if it's just for the entertainment, I'm sure you won't regret it. :) Can you tell I'm for it? lol Please go and tell others how it was. :D

well, unfortunately I won't be able to attend:(
My daughter's basketball team won their game last night...that leaves us having a game this morning and if they win we'll play again a couple hours after that.
the time is from 9-4....and dh said he wouldn't be able to make it either cuz he'd have to leave during the session to go to a crew dinner for no lost time accidents...he's supervisor and must attend and he finds it very rude to get up and leave in the middle of something

BUT he did get a CD about from him "financial peace @ work" and from what he was told it has everything on it that was to be discussed. I know....it won't be quite the same...but its better than nothing.

thank you all for the info...I'm certainly gonna pick up his book!!
