If you want to be frugal you have to watch out for the shopping bug!

I used to be a shop o holic. I would even buy more than I could afford.

I stopped when my son passed away. Shopping wasn't fun anymore. It still isn't. I didn't always buy for him but he loved everything I bought him and was so appreciative. Now I just buy what we need and although once in awhile I might buy something I can't afford, I rarely shop till I drop anymore.

I was and am. When I was working full time for the National Guard, I was bringing home 1,100 every two weeks. That's really good money for a 20 year old. However, I paid my bills with it, everything that was left I went shopping with. When I got bored, I went shopping. When I saw something I liked in a magazine, I went shopping. When I was upset, I went shopping. When I stopped working for the Guard and took a 500 dollar biweekly paycut, I continued my shopping habits. Hence the debt that I have now. I still have to watch myself.

Yes, you really have to watch out for the shopping bug. It can rack up credit cards and ruin marriages. :(

Nope. I like to shop around the holidays but that's about it. Yesterday I saw a cute little summer purse in a flyer and I have been thinking about buying one, so I packed up my dh and forced him to come with me to the store. When we got there the purse was not what I thought it was, so I just walked out of the store. My dh thinks I am nuts we had just crossed two town lines to spend 5 minutes in a store and came home with nothing. I guess it just goes to show that there is no impulse buying going on around here.

I used to be but now I've changed my ways.... here what mine said:

Your a window shopper
You know that shopping's a blast, but you prefer to save your money. You hardly ever give into an impulse buy, unless it's a total steal. You've always got the most money of your friends - and you never have to borrow. And you've got a nice wardrobe too ... of classic pieces that last years!

I came out as a window shopper, as well. I've never been much into clothes shopping, and a lot of the questions seemed to revolve around that. Now ask me what I'd do in a hardware store, and my results would have been dramatically different!:toothy:

It said I was a window shopper also, but I never seem to have much money. I don't borrow however. IE if I don't have the money it doesn't get bought.
