I guess figure out mileage to and from work, figure out how many miles per gallon your car gets, and the price of gas.
How you will eat at work, add that in. Business power lunches or leftovers from home. Be realistic
Do you wear casual, dress clothes, scrubs, dry cleaning... that may be hard to figure. But obviously heels and suits will be more $ than scrubs you wash at home.
Add misc expenses such as convenience meals for long days at work/too tired to cook
Don't forget those office "collections", flower funds, all that stuff
Childcare, if applicable
Any continuing ed or classes or conferences required from your job.

Add it all up for a month and take it from your net monthly pay.

Don't forget that income taxes will be at a higher rate when your combined income increases. Oh, and the STRESS of working and managing a household. I guess you can't put a price tag on that, but it needs consideration.

yeah lets figure out for all the SAHMs out ther how much we would have to be paid for working at home.priceless Id be too exspensive especially during the early childhood years. Oldest was ADHD, right there I was a therapist and teacher .lol
