Now granted they were small balances and small payments, but they are GONE!!! Now there's thirty dollars a month to put towards that awful card with 26% interest. Yikes!!! It feels really good though. We took some of our tax return money and used it to build up (though it's not where we want it to be yet) our EF and we were able to pay off these two small cards. Onward!!! :fdance:

Woohoo! Good for you! Any way you could use some/most of that ef $$ towards that debt with the high interest payments?

It doesn't matter that they were small balances.. you HAD to make a payment on them. They came knocking on your door every month. NOT and more!! WTG!!

We could, but we have no savings whatsoever and something is always going wrong around here:( I just have more peace knowing that we have something for an emergency even if we would be further paying off that account. We've been paying extra to it and it's going down pretty fast. We're still going to send an extra $200 or so to it. We still have some of our tax return left, we just have a lot of projects that need to be finished around the house as well so we're trying to figure out where our money will be spent the best. We are hoping to get out of here in a year or so and these things bring down the value of our home quite a bit.
