We have an extra piano that no one plays. I would like to give someone else the opportunity to have a piano. The only problem is that I am so afraid that whoever moves it will drop it or whatever and I have Italian marble that they would have to move it over. We have always had professional piano movers move our pianos and I am worried that whoever wants it will not be able to move it correctly.
But I also want it out of here. It is just clutter as this particular piano has not been played in nearly 4 years.

Freecycle w/the stipulation that they get piano movers. It's such a small cost compared w/the fact they are getting a free piano.

That would be my suggestion too...schools & churches, even if they don't need it for themselves, might know of someone in need of a piano. They may also have the resources to move it without damaging your floors as well.

:yeah:
Someone did that here and the person who picked up was more than happy to get piano movers to do it.

I don't know where you're at; but I'd love for someone to give me a piano! My dh got me a keyboard for Christmas and I actually have been taking lessons (at 45 years old!) Always wanted to as a kid, but my parents didn't see the necessity of it . . . too frugal!

I think that someone who really wanted one and would appreciate it would find a way to move it with respect to you and your floors. What a great thing you would be doing for someone! That is very nice of you.
