Hi,
This is still my first week here.

I'm wondering as to where to get cheap maternity clothings?
I know that some of you are moms, and are doing great jobs with your finance. Do you gals sew your own maternity clothings? or is it cheaper to buy? If so, where can I get maternity clothings for cheap? and How any informations on how to change my regular pants to maternity pants?

This is my first pregnancy, and I'm start showing and need clothes that fits.

Any advice, tips, suggestions will be greatly appreciate.

(Also, I realize that each of your post have your GOALS/DEBT at the bottom, do you have to type that in there every time you post a forum? or is there a way to do it where that is permantly there?)

THANKS AHEAD FOR ALL THE GREAT ADVICES :)

Buy used clothing - thrift stores, garage sales. Also see if you have freecycle or craigslist in your area.

The stuff at the bottom (the laundry, my football dh, etc) is my "signature". Click on "User CP" on the left end of the 2nd blue band up above and once in your CP (I assume that's control panal), select "edit signature" Type in what you want it to say. :)

I've never been pregnant, but just recently I was searching Ebay for Gap jeans in my size. Several of the hits gave me Gap maternity jeans in my size. Oops. Anyway, it seemed like there was a lot of maternity wear on Ebay. Since people only wear the clothes for a few months, they should be in pretty good shape. I'd try there.

Also, ask around. Your friends may have friends who recently gave birth, and they may be more than willing to pass on their maternity clothes.

Mai,
when I was pregnat I bought baggy pants with room to grow, and ones with tie ups, strings. They get you the farthest. And long loose tshirts so u can be comfortable this summer. Flat shoes, hardly any heel is a must if ur on your feet any lenght of time. I always had swelling, and all baby, last one had hardly fluid. So u need room to breath. !!!lol

Love second hand stores, and yard sales when I could get there, Start looking now for larger sizes. And I never bought brand new maternity clothes. At that time , therewas never sales when I needed them and too exspensive. U can still look stylish and be pregnat but comfotable too.

I borrowed from friends and bought some at yard sales. The few outfits (2) that I bought from JC Penney's were labeled XL, so I thought they would fit throughout my pregnancy.

WRONG! I paid $50 for those two outfits and they haven't fit for the last month! My pre-prgnancy size was a 10 and I'm 5'9". I felt totally ripped off. Just be careful what you pay for in the store nowadays because everything is made small.
