my husband is soo happy at the fact iam noooo longer overspending our hard earned money!!!! iam doing good this month!!! i mean never in a million years would i think i would be seriously giddy over saving on breakfast cereal:toothy:
iam even going to try my hand at making my own laundry detergent once i get my paws on a 5 gallon bucket with a lid! its supposed to be about.71 cents once the detergent is made and less?? than a penny for each load?? i will give it a shot:laundry:

Just for your information - 5 gallon buckets can usually be gotten free at bakeries. I've gotten all of mine from a bakery nearby.

I use my old liquid det. bottles. I have 2 of the really big ones with the spout, do you know the kind? The soap sometimes coagulates and won't come out of the spout but when that happens I give it a good shake and if it still won't come out, I pour it out of the hole where the lid is. Works great for me.

I agree, it's a great website. Being frugal isn't rocket science, but for some reason, it is very elusive if you're not with like-minded folks!!! The support here is the best, it must be why folks do well in programs like Weight Watchers. We all need the support! You can't really brainstorm all these ideas generally at places like work or playdates! Some people don't want to hear about frugality as a way of life, they think it's goofy or something. Well, we're the ones who will have the last laugh!!!

I agree. FV has is an amazing community. Somehow you feel committed to do the right thing.

One of my favorite things about this site is I don't get weird looks when I state with pride, "I just rewrote my whole price book!" or "I just got a whole wardrobe for $5!" or "Soup is on for $0.47 today!" :laugh: It's so friendly and inspiring here. I love this site too! :grouphug:
