I have been reading Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and decided to go on a journey to knock out my debt!! So far I have managed to pay off my last two credit cards!! No more credit card debt for me!! I am cutting those babies up!! I also managed to pay off two store charge accounts and an outrageous clinic bill of DH's. The best thing is I actually have $1085 in an EF! I only owe on 2 vehicles and a house. I plan on rolling everything on to DH's truck and trying to get it paid off quicker. He only owes 19 months, but I think we can get it paid off within a year or less! Then we will start working on my truck.
*****I broke down and bought myself a Yukon after the incident with my DS#1 and my car. I decided that since he had to put money out to repair my car, he could just put it toward me a newer one. :applause: We were fixing to shell out some money on the car because the transmission was slipping and the check engine light just came on about a week before the accident. :( I know it was paid for and would have been cheaper to repair than to buy a newer vehicle, but I figure that this one should be paid off quickly with the new plan we are on. It isn't new and I only owe $6000 more on this vehicle after the down payment and trade in. I think we can knock that out pretty quick! As soon as DH's truck is paid for, I am rolling that over into mine. *****
I am just happy that I paid off 5 debts and have a EF going. I am going to focus more on the vehicle payments and less on the EF right now. Then when I get the vehicles paid off, I will get my EF fully funded.
:applause: :applause:
I must have done something right for a change because DH told me yesterday, "You did good." He seems to like the new plan we are on too. I wasn't sure he would like the tighter budget, but he wants out of debt too!
