Most of you here know that I suffer from anxiety. Well, my court date is Wednesday, and my anxiety level has been through the roof. I don't want to up my meds, because I have to be thinking straight when I go to court. My ex pays so little in support, I can't believe he wants it suspended. Says he's not working, but I know he is and is being paid under the table.

I don't know why he wants to put me through this, but he does. I just hope I can be strong and that the court won't see how scared and nervous I am. If anyone talks to kj, tell her I really need that stinkeye!! I have to get it together,but I am in desperate need of your prayers that I will be able to represent me and my kids without looking stupid. My lawyer tells me to stay calm, but that's really hard when you suffer from anxiety!! Anyway, I would appreciate your prayers.

Just wanted to give you an update. Well, thanks for your prayers. Things went my way -- all my way!! My attorney had his investigator take pictures at my exs job. I didn't even know about it!! My ex said he was just helping a friend out, but the judge didn't buy it. He said he would not suspend the support payments. He gave my ex thirty days to declare a job, and the judge said he would not be against sending my ex to jail for the holidays! He told him that it is his responsibility to support his children all the time, and not just when it was convenient for him. He has to return to see the judge in thirty days. I was told that I did not have to return in thirty days, but my attorney will be there. The judge also said that he will have to start repaying what he is in arrears and that the money will be taken out by CSEA (child support enforcement agency) directly from his checks.

I am so relieved. After I got home I just collapsed in bed and went to sleep. Again, thank you all for your support. It really helped me get through this!!

I'm sorry I'm so late responding to this but I just wanted to say how happy I am for you and your children. I do know how tough it's been for you and I'm so glad you were able to resolve this. You and your children are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks so much, Carolyn. That really means a lot to me. I just got a small support check sent to me directly from CSEA. I guess he doesn't want to go to jail!! CSEA said they are going to start sending debit cards for support payments. You can either get direct deposit or the debit cards. My bank changed (was bought out) and they couldn't do a direct deposit and sent me a paper check, but they are doing away with those. I thought the debit card was interesting. You can withdraw money at an ATM with them or use them just like any other debit card.
