Have you had any particular challenges you've had in keeping livestock. What are they and how did you over come them? Were you successful at it or did you finally give up?

The only challenges Im having with raising my chickens is sexing them out lol Other than that, none so far. We are adding turkeys, more chicks (brooding 6 pullets right now) and maybe a goat in the next few months. That seemed to work really well to keep them away. My dad is great at building pens for animals out of stuff he has around their house and when we hopefully move this summer I want him to help bulid a new rabbit hutch and chicken coop for me. MicheleMomof3 01-23-2003, 09:44 AM Kate, Half of our chicken pen is made out of wood pallets LOL Free is a great price for me ;) In His Name, Michele Kate117 01-26-2003, 10:59 PM Michele, I think that is so neat. My dad makes the neatest looking pens for all the animals that he and my mom have . MicheleMomof3 01-27-2003, 04:39 AM Kate, We always grab those pallets when they are offered. Not only for pens, but for make-do fencing and chopped up for fire wood as well :) In His Name, Michele |
